Biographical Information:
Allen Falcon, President of Horizon Information Group, has
assisted large, mid-size, and small businesses with strategic technology
planning, management, and operations. Working on the staffs of corporate CIOs,
Allen has led efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of information
services for internal and external customers. Through implementation of
Horizons End-to-End Service Management models, Allen has helped clients
develop effective service definitions and operating models for IS
organizations; realize measurable improvements in problem and change management
procedures; and implement financial modeling tools for budgeting and technology
investment analysis.
Bringing his experience and expertise to small and mid-size
organizations, Allen has served as a part-time CIO for businesses in multiple
industries. In his capacity as a member of clients management teams,
Allen has planned and managed technology projects that directly support
business goals and bottom lines. Beyond improving IS staffing, vendor
relations, and procedures for more reliable day-to-day operations, Allen has
defined and led critical business application and infrastructure projects
designed to improve and enable new business opportunities.
Prior to co-founding Horizon Information Group, Allen held
positions in consulting and in network systems development, specializing in
large systems analysis and design. Allen has published several articles on
technology issues for smaller businesses and has served on advisory boards for
industry conferences and trade events. Allen holds an Honors Bachelor of
Science degree in Computer and Communication Sciences from the University of
Michigan.
