Breakfast of Champions

This is a breakfast roundtable for SPC members. Each month, Breakfast of Champions focuses on one business issue with a presentation on the topic.  Participants are encouraged to offer input, ideas and suggestions on how to address the issue. A facilitator moderates meetings. Topics have included fee structuring, expanding client opportunities, proposal writing and using contact management tools in your business. Members are encouraged to suggest breakfast topics.

Discounts

Members receive discounts on SPC meetings, workshops and seminars. They also receive discounts to meetings and events held by many of our Affiliate organizations.

Electronic Newsletter

Consultants Communicate, published monthly, includes general interest items to consultants, SPC program and meeting notices, and news about our fellow members.  Members are encouraged to submit articles and other information for the newsletter.

Newsletters, E-Zines and Blogs

Many of our members produce weekly or monthly newsletters, e-zines or blogs. We list these and their respective websites for subscription.

Members are invited to join the Society of Professional Consultants' Group on LinkedIn.  Joining allows them to find and contact other SPC members on LinkedIn.

The goal of this group is to help members:

• Reach other members of SPC
• Accelerate careers/business through referrals to and from SPC Group members
• Learn more about their colleagues through the rich professional profiles of fellow SPC Group members

 

Monthly Meetings

The Society of Professional Consultants' meetings offer a break from the independent consultant's routine. In a relaxed atmosphere, members and non-members network and hear area speakers on current business issues.

 

Books and Articles

SPC posts current books and articles our members have published in commercial newspapers, magazines and industry or organizational newsletters.

 

Member Profiles

Members have individual profile pages on the SPC website.  They can update their SPC member profile information at any time, including speaking topics and categories in which they wish to be included for possible referrals.

 

Referral Service

SPC provides a free consultant referral service for the business community. Only current SPC members participate in the referral service. The member provides the information that is available to companies. Companies may search the SPC member database and/or contact SPC directly for information and referrals.

Note: There is no charge for either the prospective client or the member consultant for the referral service. It is the responsibility of the prospective client and the consultant to contractually formalize a service relationship.

 

Speakers for Meetings or Events 

SPC members who speak professionally can list their speaking topics in their member profiles.  Organizations who are looking for speakers can search the SPC member database to identify speakers who will fill their needs.  They can also contact SPC directly for recommendations.

 

Members Only Section

Members can participate in our members' forum, a chat room for topics of interest, such as how to use social networking as an effective marketing tool.  They can also view a listing of responsibilities of our current Board of Directors and our Articles of Organization.
